Zona Phillips, age 80 of Hempstead, passed away on January 11, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Mary Lynch; grandsons, Bradley Thomas Braband and David Wayne Phillips III; and is survived by her husband of 63 years, David Wayne Phillips, Sr.; sons, David Wayne Phillips, Jr. and wife Sarah, Howard Thomas Phillips; daughter, Judy Braband and husband Ernie; brother, Woodrow P. Lynch, Jr. and wife Willie Ruth; grandchildren, Julie Ann Abke, Hollie Beth Tartt and husband Trey, Mandy Lynn Abke and husband Rodney, Shane Thomas Phillips, Katie Ann Phillips; Great Grandchildren, Dustin, Clayton, Preston and Peyton Abke as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate her life on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10am at Lighthouse Word Church, 1223 Donoho St. Hempstead, Texas 77445. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in her honor to Hospice Brazos Valley, 302 E. Bluebell Road, Brenham, Texas 77833 or at hospicebrazosvalley.org.
