Pastor Maurice McLeroy ("Brother Mac") was born December 28, 1932, and on April 30, 2022, in Cypress, TX, was reunited with his Lord and Savior who he served his entire life in his ministry and calling from Christ. Maurice was a true pastor's pastor. His entire life was spent serving his church family. He also held many associational offices and was very mission minded. Maurice graduated from Texas A&M University and the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Maurice was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Maurine McLeroy and his sister Donna Kay Sanders. Maurice is survived by the love of his life, Janice, who found each other as teens and made each other whole. They spent the past 69 years as a couple and team serving Christ wherever He called them. He is also survived by his sons Mark (Jacqui) and Kevin (Kris) and his sister Velda. "Gege" also dearly loved his four grandchildren, Becky (Lem), Kyle (Kimberly), Kent (Hannah), and Maia; four great grandchildren, Kaya, Ezrie, Aeden and Graham. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Maurice/"Brother Mac" was a blessing and influence on so many people's lives and souls.

Honored to be pallbearers will be Kyle McLeroy, Kent McLeroy, Don McCarver, Chuck Sangerhausen, Scott Sangerhausen, Staton Shed, Brian Braswell, and Jake Williford.

There will be a visitation at Canon Funeral Home in Waller, TX Thursday, May 5 ^th from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. Funeral Services will be held also at Canon Funeral Home on Friday, May 6 ^th at 10:00am, followed by burial held at Norwood Cemetery, Hearne, TX at 3:00pm for anyone wishing to attend.
