Wilma Slone, age 93 of Waller, Texas formerly of Colorado City, Texas, passed away on October 21, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Slone; parents, George W. & Louise A Hape; 3 brothers, Johnny Hape, Robert Hape and Herbert Hape; 2 sisters, Mary Ellen Keith and Mildred Goodson. Wilma is survived by her son, Bob Hape & wife Linda, of Evansville, Indiana; daughter Jackie Gleitz & husband Hilary of Waller Texas; grandchildren, Trey and Jenna Gleitz, Stephen and Stephanie Gleitz, Tony and Julie Hape, Connie Bright and 14 great grandchildren as well as numerous other family members and a host of friends.

Wilma dedicated her life to unselfishly providing happiness and care to her family, friends and loved ones. She never asked anything more than a simple "thank you" in return. Her love for the world of entertainment, especially gospel music, was unwavering even to her final days here with us. All those who knew her loved her.

Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2014 from 6 to 8pm at Canon Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 1:30pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
