William "Bill" Harris Baskin, Sr., age 69 of Cypress passed away on March 29, 2021 from complications following a hard-fought battle with pancreatitis. William is preceded in death by his Parents, Thomas Carroll Baskin, Jr. and Mildred Harris Baskin; Paternal Grandparents, Thomas Carroll Baskin, Sr. and Ruth Helen Baskin; and Maternal Grandparents, A. H. "Ted" and Annie Beatrice Harris. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Baskin; Step-mother, Augustine Baskin; Son, William Harris (Amanda Lynn) Baskin, Jr.; Daughter, Kimberly Baskin (David) Borges; Brothers, David Alan (Janice) Baskin, Sr., Brian "Sam" Alexander Baskin, and John Thomas Baskin; a Sister, Kathleen Brown; and Grandchildren, Olivia Marie Borges, Sophia Grace Borges, and Jameson William Baskin; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and friends.

Bill had a life full of love, family, and his many accomplishments. He had a lifelong career as an electrician where he ran his own business, and upon retirement fulfilled his life dream of being a cattle rancher. Bill can be remembered as an avid hunter, lifetime committee member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, animal lover, collector, and master griller. He collected many things, but most importantly he collected people. He was a caring friend, beloved brother and son, loving husband, devoted father, and amazing papa. He lived life to the fullest and though he is gone he will never ever be forgotten.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 10:30a.m. at Canon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hempstead Cemetery.

Due to Covid-19, wearing a mask and social distancing is required.
