Wanda Ralston Schulz of Waller, Texas passed away on January 29, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Wanda was born Wanda Faye Ralston to Robert and Lena Ralston in Corsicana, Texas on May 3, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Schulz, her parents, and a brother, Wallace Ralston. She is survived by her brothers Wayne Ralston and Owen Ralston of Waller, Texas; sisters June Morgan of Columbus, Texas, Fern Ralston of Alvin, Texas and Betty Brewster, of Humble, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Wanda and Herbert met while attending Blinn College and were married on June 1, 1949. They were married for more than 59 years when Herbert passed away in 2008. Wanda earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Southwest Texas State Teacher College (now Texas State University). She had a very fulfilling career of over thirty years in teaching, coaching and counseling in schools in Waller and Cy-Fair.

Wanda was a long time member of First United Methodist Church of Waller. She was active for several years in the Order of Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron. Wanda was a very avid participant in the Waller County Historical Society as long as her health permitted. Wanda loved people and loved life. She will be missed by all.

Visitation will be Sunday February 1, 2015 from 4-6pm. Funeral Services will be Monday, February 2, 2015 at 2pm at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow at the Waller Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to First United Methodist Church of Waller, Waller County Historical Society or the American Cancer Society.
