Virginia Adell Mason Dennison was born on April 25, 1937 in Tyler, Texas, to Mr. Claron P. Mason and Mrs. Charlene Mason. Virginia lived in Tyler until she was 6 years old when her parents moved to the community of Field Store, north of Waller. She met her husband, Jack Arnold Dennison at Waller High School when she was just a freshman and he a senior. They married on August 26, 1955 and remained a loving couple until last Sunday, October 22, when Jesus welcomed her home at the age of eighty years.
Virginia loved her family fiercely and her life was devoted to supporting and caring for Jack and their three children, Lisa, Brian, and Michael. Virginia and Jack tragically lost Lisa as a teenager and their love for God and each other got them through. Virginia exemplified grace and love and trust in the Lord. One of Virginia's most endearing qualities included her ability to light up a room when she walked in. Her beautiful smile was warm and welcoming and impacted everyone who met her.
The Dennisons were rooted in the Waller community and were long-time members of Waller Baptist Church. Virginia served there in many capacities over 60 years of membership but one of her favorite ministries was VBS were she was able to touch so many children's lives. She had many dear friends in Waller who walked with her through a blessed life and meant so much to her.
Virginia is preceded in death by her mother, father, and older brother Claron Jr. She is survived by her husband Jack Dennison of Waller, Brian and Karen Dennison of Houston, Michael Dennison and Kimmi Romack-Dennison of Plano, her grandchildren Joshua and wife Lauren Dennison, Logan Dennison, Joel Dennison, Tori Dennison and Bethany Dennison. In addition, Virginia also had two great-grandchildren, Jonah Dennison and Wyatt Dennison. She was also loved by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Virginia Dennison's legacy of love, selflessness and complete devotion to her Lord and family will forever be missed, but it is reflected in the lives of those she touched. If you were fortunate to have met Virginia, you felt just a little bit closer to heaven.
