In loving memory of V. Allen Stafford Jr,. He peacefully passed away at his home in Navasota on July 17, 2023, surrounded by his beloved wife and sons.
Allen was born on March 11, 1947, in Houston, Texas. After completing his education at Aldine High School, he embarked on a fulfilling journey by joining the Navy in 1965.
Following his honorable service, Allen dedicated his skills and expertise to Manning Electric in Houston. Eventually, he became the proud owner and operator of Stafford Electric Co., where he served the community diligently for many years. Additionally, he ventured into entrepreneurship and managed the Kickapoo Country Store and Feed Store before retiring in 2005. Throughout his life, Allen also pursued his passion for antiques, always immersing himself in this cherished hobby.
Allen's most treasured role was that of a devoted father, and he adored his family immensely.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lynda Stafford of Navasota, and his sons Tyson Stafford and his wife Adra of Hockley, Justin Stafford and his wife Leanna of Weatherford, and Jason Stafford and his wife Melissa of Magnolia. He was also blessed with cherished grandchildren: Dallas Chuter and Aryane of Katy, Kaitlin Stafford, Austin Brown, Jaxon Stafford, Jaron Stafford, Tinley Stafford, and Joliee Stafford. Furthermore, Allen leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends who held a special place in his heart.
Allen was preceded in death by his father, Vertis A. Stafford, his mother, Joyce Stafford Davis, his stepfather, Henry Ford Davis, his stepmother Ann Stafford, his father-in-law, Maple Pollard, his mother-in-law, Hazel Pollard, his brother-in-law, Eugene Pollard, his sister, Lynette Moon, and his son, Steven Stafford.
During his time with us, Allen touched the lives of many, leaving behind beautiful memories and a legacy of love. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30am, Saturday August 26, 2023, at Whitehall Community Center, 14536 FM 362, Navasota, TX 77868. The service will be followed by a dance in Allen's memory.
