Unice Lavon Marino, aged 85 of Waller TX, passed away on March 4, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Unice Marino. She passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025 at the age of 85. Unice was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Unice was born on November 06, 1939 in Spring Branch TX. Unice is proceeded in death by her parents UN & Julia Freeman and her loving husband John Marino (Gaga).
Unice (Nanny) is survived by her children John E. Marino (wife Brenda), Julia L. Marino and Jeffery W. Marino; grandchildren Joseph Marino (wife Bailey), Samuele Marino (Alli Jordan) and Tiffany Marino (Lee Sierra); great-grandchildren Roman, Scarlett, John, Riley, Jillian, and many other beloved family members and friends.
Unice was a kind, compassionate, and selfless woman who dedicated her life to caring for others. For many years, she served her community on the Waller County EMS and Monaville Voluntary Fire Department, also was CPR Instructor and Life Flight Certified. She was always putting the needs of others before her own. Unice's caring nature and dedication to helping those in need were a testament to her loving heart and strong character.
In addition to her compassionate spirit, Unice was an incredibly talented woman. She was a gifted artist, floral designer, and seamstress, among many other talents. Whether creating beautiful works of art, designing stunning floral arrangements, or crafting beautiful garments, Unice's creativity knew no bounds. Her artistic touch brought beauty and joy to all who were fortunate enough to experience it.
Though Unice is no longer with us we take comfort in knowing that she is now resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord alongside her beloved husband. Her legacy of love, strength, creativity, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Unice's family takes comfort in the words of 2 Corinthians 5:8
"We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. "
Visitation will be Saturday, April 12, 2025 from I0am-11am at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11am with Pastor Art Musgrove officiating. Interment will follow at Canon Mathis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Waller County Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 1574 Waller, TX 77484.
