Travis Goodman Sr., age 73 of Waller, Texas, passed away on November 9th 2025.

Travis was a one of kind man!

He was known as "MR GADGET". He made gifts to give to his prized family members and most of all made Trinkets to make his life easier. Rather it be icy hot on an end of a stick to rub on his feet or reinventing a chair so that it suited all his needs, if he was not building a trinket physically, he was building it in his mind and often had many fantastic ideas that he made come to his reality.

Travis collected Guns, Knives, Rocks, Coins and assortment of things, you name it, he had 100 plus on any one item he obsessed over at any given time.

He had a Love for hunting and fishing, specifically hunting with Darrell Ward and his son Travis Jr. in Uvalde for many many years. He also enjoyed going to his nephew's, Vince II, ranch in Menard Texas. Every time he went it looked as if he was moving there.

He also enjoyed fishing Port O Connor, Texas and had fished those waters since he was in his 20's. His brother has many many fond memories, but the fondest memories of Travis was his love for CRAB. So much that if Travis was on a boat anywhere in coastal waters, especially Port O Connor, he was always robbing the crab traps. THERE WAS NO CRAB TRAP SAFE IN THE COAST!!

Travis, in his last years, came back out of retirement and went to work for his brother at Solidwood Forest LTD, "his brother built him his own personal office". He was excellent at sharpening blades, as this was his job at Solidwood. Although he sharpened only one or two a week, he still worked or so took naps, played with his dog and turned in over 40 hours a week. But no one, not even his brother, minded just as long as he and his dog were there, no one really said much. He was the only one allowed to take 4 or 5 naps a day on the job. LOL!

Travis loved his children, his brother, and sisters and were very fond of his nieces and nephews. But his greatest love, and always talked highly of, was his grandchildren. He always had smiles when he was around them or even spoke of them, and the love for his dog Whitley Lee was another level.

Travis was LEGEND in his family's eyes - meaning he was as tough as they came! They all say he was the toughest, strongest man they have ever known – pain was an imagination to him!

Visitation will be Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 9-10am at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10am with Pastor Tom Dobbs officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill
