Thomas Ybarra, age  89 of Hempstead, Texas passed away on September 26, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Alex and Rachel Ybarra; sisters Sylvia, Dorothy, Rosie; brothers Nick and Joe.

He is survived by his wife Mary; son Michael and wife Lisa Ybarra; daughter Patty and husband Steven Wrench; sisters Mary Sklar, Lucy and husband Robert Buchanan and Josie Lynch; grandchildren Morgan and husband Mason Mai, Reagan Easley, Kate Ybarra and Thomas Ybarra as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Thomas was a Korean War Veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the American Legion.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 5-7pm at Canon Funeral Home with a Rosary following. Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10am at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church with Father Xavier officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
