Sophie Granowski, age 99 of Hempstead, passed away on December 22, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Eddie and Rosa Rochen; husband Joe Granowski; brothers Albin Rochen, Walter Rochen; sisters Edna Neuman, Marie Biskup.

She is survived by her son Joseph Granowski and wife Allyson; granddaughters Annalyse Granowski and Alissa Carr; brothers Leon Rochen, George Rochen and wife Brenda; sisters Agnes McDonald, Lillian Werner; as well as other family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 4-6pm at Canon Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6pm. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 30, 2022, at 2pm at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church with Fr. Xavier Bilavendiran officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Hempstead.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas / St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church.
