It is with profound sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Shirley Norwood Kloecker, a beloved grandmother, mother, wife, and friend, who left us peacefully on Sunday, April 27, surrounded by the love of her family.

Shirley lived a life rich in love, laughter, and a journey filled with unforgettable moments. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she cherished with all her heart. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, whether around her kitchen table — where she served up countless delicious meals made with love — or during spirited games of dominoes or penny poker that often stretched late into the night, full of laughter and friendly rivalry.

She was a woman who could create a meal that tasted like pure comfort, often without ever glancing at a recipe. A true matriarch, she showed us that the best memories are woven into life's simplest moments often shared over a warm cup of coffee. At every gathering, Shirley was the heart and soul- lifting others with her kindness, offering help without hesitation, and placing everyone's needs above her own.

Shirley was a woman of many talents, with a spirit that knew no limits. There was truly nothing she couldn't accomplish once she set her mind to it — whether mastering a new skill, tackling a challenge, or lending her creativity to every endeavor she touched. Her life was rich with experiences, and over the years, she held many different roles and careers, each one adding another chapter to her remarkable story. Through every success and every adventure, she walked faithfully side by side with her beloved husband, Buddy. Together, they built a life rooted in love, hard work, and shared dreams — a partnership that was as enduring as it was inspiring. Her legacy of love, warmth, and togetherness will live on in the many lives she shaped.

Shirley is survived by her two sons Darrel and wife Tracy, Roger and wife Amy, her seven grandchildren Aaron Krzenski, Roger Kloecker II, Courtney Friedel, Candi Weige, Amanda Ohana, Jared Kloecker, and Bubba Kloecker along with twelve loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Words she often lived by: "Love deeply, laugh often, and there's always room at Maw Maws."

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Buddy Kloecker, along with her parents, James and Alice Norwood, sisters Janice Walters, Iris Broussard, and Lucille Giddens.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30 at 5:00-7:00pm, with a celebration of life on May 1, 2025 at 10:00am at Canon Funeral Home. She will be lovingly laid to rest at Cedar Creek Cemetery directly following the service.
