Russell "Rusty" Massey, born to Jasper and Margaret Massey on August 17, 1950 passed away on June 19, 2018 at his home in Hempstead. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jap and Margaret Massey; and is survived by his companion in life, Mary Sue Aday; daughter, Darla Steubing and husband Christopher; sister, Susie Schubert and husband Roy; grandchildren, Hayden, Briana, and Riley Steubing; nephew, Mike Boettcher; niece, Jamie Clancy; and his dog, Ruby.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 9-10 am at New Hope Methodist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 10am with Pastor Kevin Kissel officiating. Interment will follow at Fieldstore Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Canon Funeral Home, Waller, TX.
