Rose Marie Jozwiak Uherek, loving wife and mother, passed away on June 3, 2021in College Station, Texas. Rose was born in Austin County on October 28, 1955, to Nuch and Mae Dell Jozwiak.

Rose attended Blinn College before transferring to Stephen F. Austin State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in education. She received her master's degree in administration at Prairie View A&M. Rose began her teaching career in Waller ISD for 7 years before returning to her alma mater, Hempstead ISD, in 1990 as a 4 ^th grade teacher before serving in the roles of both campus and district administrator. She retired in 2019 after 36 years of service.

Rose married Donald "Donny" Uherek of Damon, Texas in July 1979 and later had on son, Brett, whom she adored. She shared a love of animals with her family and had a special place in her heart for her Boston Terrier, Gunner. On any given day, you could find Rose sitting on her back porch listening to her doves and watching her donkey, Jake, and the deer in the back pasture.

She is preceded in death by her parents Nuch and Mae Dell Scharre Jozwiak, her mother and father-in-law Henry and Josie Uherek, and a loving brother, Ray Lee Jozwiak.

Rose is survived by her loving husband, Donny Uherek; son Brett; niece Cassie Jefferies; sister-in-law Cathy Schellberg and husband Larry; sister-in-law Dianne LaBay and husband Blake; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as her loving caretaker, Donna.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones on Sunday, June 6, 2021, from 4-6pm at Canon Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary at 6pm. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 7, 2021, at 11am at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Kucera officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
