Robert "Roy" Schneider, 71, of Waller, Texas went home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2024 after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. Roy was born on April 17, 1953, to Carter and LaV Schneider in Harlingen, Texas.

In 1976, he met his wife Pat. They went on to raise a daughter, Carmon and son, Carter (although many considered him "dad").

Following in his father's footstep, he had a lifelong career in the car business.

"Thunder Roy" gained his nickname from having "go-fast boats, which provided some of the best memories with family and friends

Although he experienced many accomplishments in his life, his proudest moment was being the first patient in the world in a specific trial clinical study for Multiple myeloma.

Roy was preceded in death by his dad, Carter, his mom, LaV, sisters, Sue Baby and Pam. He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Schneider; his children, Carmon Kirkendoll (Dan Mattiace), Carter Schneider (Michelle Schneider); grandchild, Mayla Schneider; Siblings: Kay Bush, Steve Schneider (Linda), Joan Grimes, Judy Miller (Barry), Scott Schneider (Andrea); Nephews and Nieces: Jason, Shawn, Brian, Jonathon, Blake, Cory, Devon, Melody, Jennifer, Lori, Danielle and Savannah.

Services will be held at Canon Funeral Home in Waller, TX. Viewing on June 17, 2024 at 5pm-8pm, Funeral Service on June 18, 2024 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
