Phyllis Bookout, age 77 of Hempstead passed away on May 28, 2018. She is preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Bethea; and is survived by husband, Paul Bookout; sons, Alan Turner and wife Deborah, Jeffrey Turner and wife Kathy Jill, Andrew Turner and wife Beth; daughter, Kathi Bryant and husband Charles; brother, James Stoker and wife Susan; sister, Patricia Keegan; grandchildren, Ashli, Emily, Elizabeth, Anne Marie, Evan, John-Michael, Dalton, Audrey, Amber, Sean, Isabella, Amy, Anthony, Kathleen, Alan, Maraya, Jordan, Amber; great grandchildren, Hudson, Flynn, Sullivan, Penn, Kyli, Cadence, Madison, Macie, Makenzi, Victoria, Daniel, Logan, Kennedy, Allison, Eythan, Carlee.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to MD Anderson Leukemia Department at www.mdanderson.org. or 1-866-919-0092.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2 pm at Canon Funeral Home with Campus Pastor of Adult and Teen Challenges of Texas Darrin Trammell officiating. Interment will follow at Canon Mathis Cemetery.
