Peggy Heintz, age 68, of Hempstead passed away on June 13, 2018. She was born on September 25, 1949 to Frank and Mary Kay Sisti in San Antonio, Tx. She attended school in Kingsville and Corpus Christi, TX, and graduated from Texas State University in 1972, and began her career as a teacher. She married Jerome Heintz on January 12, 1974. Peggy spent most of her distinguished career in Waller I.S.D. as an Elementary Language Arts/Reading teacher. She loved her students and her community, and she passed her love of reading and education to many Waller County residents. She retired from teaching due to a chronic illness that she has battled for many years. She is now resting peacefully and pain free. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Heintz and her sister, Coralee Casey; she is survived by son, Jason Heintz; daughters, Kristen Payne and husband, Thomas, and Kimberly Heintz; grandchildren, Hayden and Collin Payne.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 1-2 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services follow at 2 pm at Canon Funeral Home with Brother Tom Dobbs officiating. Private burial will take place at a later time.
