Owen L. Glover, Jr., age 85 of Waller, passed away on November 17, 2023.

Linn, as he was known to most, was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

After his service he joined the Houston Police Department where he served the citizens of Houston for more than 34 years, retiring in 1996 as a police sergeant.

He is preceded in death by his parents Owen and Florence Glover, brother Clarence Glover, sister Joy Rinehart, and grandson Drew Glover.

Owen is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Elizabeth Glover; sons Norman Glover and wife Sherry, Gregory Glover; daughter Cynthia Phipps and husband Melvin; brother Richard Glover; grandchildren Matthew Glover, Garrett Glover, Christopher Glover, Cameron Glover, Jonathan Phipps, Hannah Phipps, Zachary Phipps, Elisabeth Glover, Gregory Glover, Jr., Crystal Glover, Nicholas Glover; 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Elaine Glover; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Angela and Bob Smith; as well as many friends.

Linn was a long time Member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Hempstead.  There he was a member of the Knights of Columbus council 12672.  He was a past Grand Knight of the Council.

He was also a member of American Legion post 459 in Hempstead Texas.

Visitation will be Tuesday November 21, 2023, from 5-7pm at Canon Funeral Home with a rosary at 7pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 10am at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Hempstead with Fr. Xavier Bilavendiran officiating. Interment will follow at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Cemetery in Waller.
