It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Harlon Izard, of Waller, on June 1, 2026.

Born August 10, 1962; Michael passed at the age of 63, comfortably in his home in Rockdale, Texas, surrounded by loved ones.

Michael lived a life defined by strength, devotion, and hard work; sharing a deep connection with those around him. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend; whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of unwavering support for those he loved and who loved him. He was a man respected in life, for his services in the Marine Corps, for his leadership in the Railroad, and for his grit when life got tough. Michael was a pillar of strength, a mountain of a man, but also a gentle giant when it came to his family.

Michael's greatest treasure was not in the things he built with his hands, but the time he spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his heart, his resilience, and the countless memories and lessons he instilled with those fortunate enough to know him in life.
