Melvin Van Herron, age 85 of Pinehurst, passed away on June 12, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his parents Van B. and Lois Herron; daughter Judy Kay Herron; brothers Jimmy Herron, Billy Herron; and sister Ruby Marie Holland.

Melvin is survived by his loving wife of 39 3/4 years Sandra Herron; sons Donald Herron (Kitty), Ronald Ray Herron (Sheryl), Gerald Ingram (Kim); daughters Angie Lee Marburger (Jimmy), Cindy O'Neal: brother Johnny Herron (Earlene); sister-in-law Hattie Herron; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2023, from 9-11am at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11am with Pastor James Long officiating. Interment will follow at Fieldstore Cemetery.
