Mary C. Savage, age 75 of Hockley, Texas, passed away on July 17, 2021.  She is preceded in death by parents John and Mary Gustafson, infant daughter Kristina Marie Gustafson, and sister Peggy Farmer Maguire. Mary is survived by her beloved  husband of 54 years, Richard J. Savage; children David Savage, Terri-Marie Schmidt and husband David, Robert Savage and wife Lori, Kelly Anne Garcia, and husband Eric, Michael Savage and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Jessica Ponder, Jacob Schmidt, Katie Schmidt, James Ponder III, Sara Anne Garcia, Joshua Schmidt, Amy Garcia, Cassandra Garcia, Kaitlyn Savage, Justin Savage, and Ashley Savage; great grandchildren, Stacie Ponder and Samuel Ponder; as well as countless beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mary was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She doted on her family and was happiest when her large brood surrounded her.

Whether you called her "Mary C.", "Granny", "Mom", "Aunt Mary", or "Mare", you knew her love for Jesus and her family.

She liked long drives in the country, rainbows and sun rays as well as sitting by the lake, camping and watching sun sets.

Mary loved her husband of 54 ½ years, Richard, and they could often be found dancing in the kitchen.

Her grandchildren brought her great joy, she taught them about Jesus, rocked them in the rocking chair and even potty trained a couple of them.  She attended every sporting event, county fair, music concert and choir recital she could.

She is gone, we feel broken, but she is whole again and free from a body/mind that failed her.  She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her, but we know that God's plans are best, and we know that she is with him, out of pain!
