Mary Gurrola age 92 of Hempstead passed away on March 21, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Gurrola; son Matthew and Mark Gurrola; and brothers, Ray, Antonio, Wallace Alex and Dan Chavez. Mary is survived by her sons, Frank Gurrola and wife Patricia, Gabriel Gurrola and wife Jill, Cruz Gurrola and wife Becky; daughters, Jane Seets and husband Alex and Rosemary Thompson and husband John; grandsons, Martin Seets and wife Jerrie, Kevin Seets and wife Melony, Christopher Thompson and wife Rebecca and Matthew Thompson; granddaughter, Rachel Lopez and husband Ricky; great grandsons, Colton Thompson, Westin, Mason and Casey Seets and Max Lopez; great granddaughter, Mia Lopez; great-great grandson Westin Seets, Jr., as well as numerous other relatives and friends..

Visitation will be at Canon Funeral Home; Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 2-4pm with Rosary at 4pm. Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 26, 2018 at 10am at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church with Father David Harris officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
