Mary Margaret
Flory
Oct 17, 1939 — Jul 26, 2020
Mary Flory, age 80 of Hempstead, TX passed away on July 26, 2020. She was a person of faith that walked by the light of God with every step and enjoyed the friendships made while serving the community at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. She cherished time with her husband Gene riding in their antique cars, spending time with their friends and enjoying the outdoors. She loved unconditionally and wholeheartedly. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her dear sweet Chloe. Also, Mary enjoyed traveling with her great granddaughter Jadyn and will enjoy watching her play soccer in college. She enjoyed keeping up with newest great grandbabies, Allen and Nicole. Funny, intense, strong-willed, loving, spontaneous and overall firecracker, are words often used to describe her. Mary lived life to the fullest while enjoying the simple things in life, like zip-lining and parasailing.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents Anton and Francis Charba; first husband Leroy Jemelka; brothers Willie, Emil, Anton, Jr. and nephew Anthony Pulkrabek. Survived by husband Gene Flory; two daughters; sister Dorothy Pulkrabek; grandchildren Brooke Lee, Greg (April) Lee, three additional grandchildren; great grandchildren Jadyn Helm, Allen Lee, Nicole Lee, and an additional great grandchild; nieces Beverly Filip, Linda (Harvey) Koudelka, Kay Charba Hunnicutt, Melissa Charba, Barbara Miles; and nephew Kenneth (Susan) Charba; as well as numerous other beloved family members and friends.
