Mark Burch, age 81 of Hempstead passed away on January 24, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Burch; and daughters, Mary Alice Sherrill and Francis Elizabeth Holguin, and survived by his wife of 62 years, Priscilla Burch; daughters, Jessica Gertson and husband Doug Davenport and Rachel Devous and husband Dave; brother, Paul Burch, Sr. and wife June; sister, Stella Meaux; grandchildren, Tina, Mark, Callie, Kevin, Elizabeth, Amber, C.J., Kenny and Kaleb; 24 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was proud to play Santa Clause at numerous elementary schools in the Waller Independent School District for 19 years. This was his way of giving back to his community.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 11am - 1pm. Funeral Services will follow at 1pm at Canon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
