Marjorie Elizabeth Frey Samford passed away February 10, 2021 in Bryan, Texas. Margie was born October 7, 1935 to Frankie R. Frey and Lillie Knebel Frey of Waller and is preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Frankie A. Frey. Margie is survived by sister-in-law Frances Frey, nephew Roger Frey (Karen) and nieces Becky Lewis (Steve) and Alison Christian (Greg) as well as additional family and friends.

A Waller High School graduate, Margie worked for Houston's Shell Oil for thirty years before retiring to LaGrange and briefly to Sun City in Georgetown. She had a passion for travel and made many trips abroad, especially to Europe, her favorite place.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 5-7 pm at Canon Funeral Home in Waller.  A private family service will be Wednesday February 24, 2021 with interment at Frey Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Hudson Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center for their devotion, support and care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Margie's name to the Frey Cemetery and sent to 7181 Kiesewetter Rd, Bellville, Texas 77418, attn: Alan Cloyd.

Due to Covid-19, the family asks that masks be worn and social distancing respected.
