Leroy Peters, age 88 of Hempstead passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ruth Schroeder Peters; parents, Herman and Gertrude Peters and; brothers, Edgar, Marshall and Monroe Peters. He is survived by his son, Ricky Peters and wife Cheryl; daughters, Linda Wood and Peggy Peters; grandchildren, Courtney Hartman and Ryan Peters; and great granddaughter, Hayden Hartman as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be at Canon Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hempstead with Rev. Lee Hartman officiating. Interment be at 1pm at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville.
