Leonardo Sixtos Mata, aged 31, passed away on July 25, 2024. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Leonardo or as his family and friends knew him as Leo or Gordo was born on December 8, 1992 in Weslaco, Texas. He grew up in Waller where he graduated from Waller High School.

Leo loved spending time with his family, sharing stories, playing video games, and watching his favorite WWE wrestlers. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.

In his free time, Leo enjoyed cheering on his favorite soccer team, Club America, alongside his father, watching thrillers and classic movies with his mother, reminiscing old times and imagining the endless possibilities of the world with his big sister Nancy, trying random and new food recipes created by his middle sister Jessica, and asking for the remote from his youngest sister Isabella to continue to watch his favorite shows rather than Bluey.

Above all else, Leonardo was the light of his family's lives. He was the glue and the reason for everything they do. He will continue to be our little Leo the lion and the roar in our hearts. We'll be together soon mijo.

Leo is survived by his loving parents Macoy Mata and Teresa Mata, and his sisters Nancy Mata, Jessica Mata, and Isabella Mata. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
