Keith B. Baker was born October 30, 1934, and passed from this life on April 25, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston at the age of 81. He was born in Boissenvain, Tazewell County, Virginia, the second son of William and Inva Baker. Keith is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gregory Todd Baker; and his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Shirley Baker. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley Bowman Baker; son Keith Allen Baker and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Kristin Nicole Baker and Kaley Amber Baker Council and husband, Jonathan; and his great-grandson, Kaleb Samuel Council.

Keith was a loving and devoted husband to Shirley and father to his two sons. He was a man's man --- one of those "hard-working, never sit still" kind of guys---always willing to give, but hesitant to take. He loved being outdoors and fixing anything that needed his talented touch. He was a great role model for his entire family and was loved and respected by his many friends. He loved being "PawPaw" to his granddaughters, but being "Great PawPaw" to little Kaleb brought special joy and renewed life into his days.

Keith was a "gentle giant" --- quiet in his demeanor, yet strong in his ways. He was and will continue to be greatly loved and missed.

Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2016 from 9am to 11am, at Waller Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 11am, with Pastor Alan McClure and John Isom officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
