Kathleen Featherstone Gage

August 12, 1942 – July 3, 2025

Kathleen Featherstone Gage, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, at the age of 82. Her life was a testament to love, faith, and kindness—values she embodied and shared generously with all who knew her.

Born on August 12, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Fred and Leona Featherstone, Kathy was preceded in death by her loving parents; her devoted husband, Willard Gage; her daughter, Cindy Mifflin; and her granddaughter, Bobbi Jean Baylor.

She is survived by her six children: Missy Butler Chrisman (Bill Craig), Megan Tipton (Taylor Tipton), Drew Butler (Jennifer Butler), Laura Mayer (David Mayer), Jackie Millican, and Steve Mifflin. Kathy also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Gage and Greer Chrisman; Trevor and Claire Butler; Nate, Austin, and Kirby Tipton; Bobby Millican (Jessica), Ethan Millican (Lawren); and Chris, Jeff (Brittany), and Matt Mifflin.

She was blessed with six great-grandchildren: Calvin and Ella Millican; Thomas and Lily Mifflin; Kailee Herring; and Paisley Baylor. Her legacy also lives on in her great-great-grandchild, Onyx Gomez.

Kathy made her home in The Woodlands, Texas, where she became a beloved and familiar presence in the community. She was especially known for her heartfelt children's sermons at The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church. Many will think of Kathy whenever a cardinal visits their backyard bird feeder, reminded of the gentle wisdom she shared through her beloved cardinal friends—Buford, Clemma, Beauregard, Gwendolyn, Grandpa Phinehas and Grandma Martha.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Kathy also held a deep love for her canine companions—Mindy, Bitsy, Winston, Edie, and Max—who brought her comfort and joy throughout the years.

Kathy's life was a shining example of grace, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her presence will be deeply missed and her memory lovingly cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held on July 22nd at 11:00 AM at The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church, 4881 W Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77381.
