Juana DeHaro, age 69 of Hempstead, passed away on July 21, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Maria Compian; brother Guadalupe Compian; sisters Connie Flores and Sandy Grice. She is survived by her husband Felipe DeHaro; sons Steve Alvarado (Michelle) Vargas, Jr., Mark Anthony (Erin) Vargas, Arnold Solis Dimas, Jr., Felipe DeHaro, Jr.; daughters Sally Ann Vargas (Daniel Perez), Lisa Marie Palomo (Jose Taboada), Jacqueline DeHaro, Joanna Montemayor, Inez Dimas, Kay Dimas; brothers Tony Compian, Jesse Compian, Alfonso Compian; sisters Dora Gonzalez, Alice Compian, Delia Belmontes; 25 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Juana was a member of the New Harvest Transformation Center in Hempstead. Her door was always open to help anyone she could. She gave great advise. She had a love of cooking and baking, especially her German Chocolate cakes. She loved fishing and Bingo. Her greatest pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday,  July  24, 2020 from 6-8 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 10 am at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Art Musgrove officiating.
