Joy Petry, age 76 of Hockley, passed away on September 3, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Mary Kathleen Smith; husband of 54 years Alvin Douglas Petry; and son Louis Petry.

Joy is survived by her son Karl D. Petry and wife Jenny; brothers Carl Smith and wife Wanda, Richard Smith; sisters Charlotte Rawls and husband Jesse, Bonnie Smith, Rose Atkinson; grandchildren Brooklynn Thompson, Taylor Petry, Ashley Kelly, Kollin Petry; great grandchildren Avery Thompson, Cash Thompson; as well as many friends.

Visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2022, from 10-11am at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11am with Pastor Tom Dobbs officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery.
