Joseph Rader, age 72 of Kingwood passed away on January 16, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kenneth Rader, Sr. and his mother Eva Carpenter Rader. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Teri Beaty and husband Will; his son, Joe Rader, III and wife Marianne; and his brother, Mike Rader. Also surviving are his three grandsons, Ryan, Joey and Cole and nephew Mike and family.

After graduating from Elizabethton High School, Joe attended the air force academy. He later graduated from University of Tennessee with a degree in electrical engineering. Joe also earned his law degree from the University of Houston. Joe enjoyed a distinguished career at Exxon and later at Friendswood Development Company, lasting over 25 years before leaving to start his own law practice.

In his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with his dogs, being outdoors hunting, fishing, boating and playing golf. Joe was an avid reader and loved watching movies.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 10am at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Blake Nichols officiating.
