Joe Cunningham, age 73 of Waller, passed away on March 21, 2024.

Joe loved his students at Waller High School. He gave nick names and teased them as much as he could but was serious about the learning process. He taught sciences and loved it. He also liked calling sporting events.

He was a very caring man. He enjoyed helping his neighbors in time of need. He claimed his cooking was better than his sisters' cooking.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents L. D.  and Mary Jo Cunningham Sr; brother James Russell Cunningham; sister Deborah Lampe; and brother-in-law Curtis Headlee.

He is survived by his brothers L. D. Cunningham Jr. and wife Oleane, Donald D. Cunningham; sister Teresa Headlee; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joe is in the care of Canon Funeral Home.
