James Michael Mays, age 45 of Magnolia Texas, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018. He is preceded in death by great grandparents, Emil and Lucille Christopher; grandparents, Gerald and Barbara Christopher; mother, Geraldine Christopher; and uncle, Billy Christopher. He is survived by father, Larry Mays and wife Krystal; wife, Crystal Mays; son, Dylan Muller; daughters, Michaela Mays, Lexi Mays, and Cadence Mays; brother, Shane Mays; mother-in-law, Jessie Muller; father-in-law, Mark Muller and wife Kim; brother-in-law, Christopher Muller and wife Virginia; sister-in-law, Candice Griffith and husband Keith; nephew, Kaleb Church; uncle, Gerald Christopher, Jr.; uncle, Daniel Christopher, Sr.; aunt, Toni Christopher; aunt, Jean Fruge and husband Don; aunt; Charlotte Waybourn and husband Mike; cousins, Gerald Bronson Christopher III and wife Ashley, Jessica Evans and husband Chris, Brenna Jean Christopher, Cody Fruge and wife Meredith, Adam Fruge and wife Rebecca, Lyndsi Tullos, Kevin Tullos, Chad Christopher, Kaitlin Christopher, JuliAnne Melton and husband Craig, Lee Mundy, Haley Montez and husband Raul, Daniel Christopher, Jr., Dustin Christopher, Destinee Christopher, and Daisy Christopher.
Mike was the only child of Larry Mays and Geraldine Christopher and grew up in Waller Texas. After graduating high school he went on to attend a trade school where he received his Journeyman Electrician License. In 1998 he met his loving wife, Crystal Mays, of 20 years. At that time he joined the Highlands Volunteer Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter. Later he went on to pursue his dream of computer technology, where he landed his career as the IT/Integrations Manager for Groves Industrial Supply. He was a loving father to son, Dylan; and daughters, Michaela, Lexi, and Cadence. Mike had numerous friends/colleges and was loved by many.
Visitation will be Monday, February 12, 2018, from 5pm-8pm. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 1pm at Canon Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Kissel officiating. Interment will follow at Fieldstore Cemetery.
