Jack Lyle Lovett, age 67 of Hempstead passed away on September 9, 2018 at his home in Hempstead, Texas, comforted by his loving family. He was born June 2, 1951, in St. Elmo, Illinois, the eldest of four children of Merrill Glen Lovett and Wanda Lucille ( Jenkins). Along with Jack's mother Wanda, of Glen Carbon, IL., all three siblings survive: Judy Lynn Patterson( Dennis) of Collinsville, IL, Robert Dean Lovett of Dorsey, IL and Cheri Diane Towner ( Stan ) of Edwardsville, IL.
"Gentle Giant" Jack is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Denise Marie(Frommel), whom he married on September 30, 1978, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their family was enriched by two daughters and two sons: Kimberly Ann Cole(Curtis), William Thomas Lovett(Melinda), Bryan Merrill Lovett, and Erin Marie Chelf (Marc). Also left to cherish special memories are four grandsons: Tucker Cole, Carson Cole, Warren Lovett, and Holden Lovett.
In December 1984 Jack was hired by Big Three Industries, a regional oxygen and nitrogen distribution company, retiring May 2016 after 32 years of service with Air Liquide(formerly Big Three Industries). As Pipeline Construction Manager, Jack was responsible for building many of the company's most impressive projects in a variety of states.
Funeral services will be held at Canon Funeral Home, 1420 Farr St, Waller, Texas. Visitation Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service following at 12p.m. Burial following at Kirby Chapel Cemetery in Hempstead.
