Jack Fleming, age 80 of Waller, Texas passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025 at his home in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Reuben and Catherine Fleming; as well as his sister Jean Fleming-Clapp.

Jack graduated from Waller High School in 1962 and pursued higher education at the Police Academy and Sam Houston State University. Jack proudly served 46 years dedicated to his community, where he earned deep respect as a steadfast and courageous member of the Department of Public Safety and Harris County Undercover Narcotics Task Force Division, where he then retired in 2018 at the age of 74.

Jack's inspiring commitment to justice, devoted integrity, and tireless work ethic left a lasting impact on those he served alongside and protected. A true pillar of strength, Jack was known as a man of his word – reliable, honest, and driven by a sincere desire to help others. Whether in uniform or in everyday life, he exemplified what it meant to serve with purpose, humility, and heart.

He is survived by his sons Ronald Dewayne Fleming and Stephen Paul Fleming; daughter Natalie Ann Fleming and spouse Donnie Wendt; sister Janis Fleming-Jensen; grandchildren Shawna McCranie, Brandon McCranie and Stephen Fleming, Jr.; cousin Pat Schenkel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 5 - 7 pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday June 11, 2025, at 10 am at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Dobbs officiating. Interment will follow at Fieldstore Cemetery. A special gathering will be held at the Waller County Fairgrounds in Edmonds Hall.
