Ida Mae Johnson, age 92 of Waller, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Barbara Imhof; husband, O.C. Johnson; sisters, Alma, Lena and Sophie and brother Johnny; and is survived by her brother Alvin George "Ted" Imhof; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ida Mae graduated from Waller High School as Valedictorian at the age of 16. Before she was of school age, she followed the "older" kids to school every day, until the teacher finally told her that if she was coming anyway, she may as well officially start school. After graduation she went to Massey School of Business school in Houston. She became an executive secretary at National Biscuit Company and retired after 40 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed keeping up with her coworkers for many years by attending their annual company parties.

She was a member of Macedonia Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star where she served several years as Worthy Matron. She received her 50 year pin in 2015.

Visitation will be at Canon Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10am at Canon Funeral Home.
