Herbert Ray Qualls known simply as "Father" by his children and every friend they ever brought around him, passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday March 6th at the age of 80. Father was born December 5th, 1943,

in Genoa Arkansas. He was the top tier of the bottom tier of 9 children and was the self-appointed "Leader" of his 3 younger brothers. Father was a stubborn man that never lost an argument, well in his mind anyway.

Father was proceeded in death by his parents Bertie Lee and Lena Qualls and all of his siblings, Etter, John, Helen, Francis, Bertha, Hubert, Bill and Don and his son-in-law Troy Glen Moore MD. He once again showed his stubbornness by outliving his entire family!

He is survived by his 6 children, Jerry and wife Stacy, Johnny and wife Tina, and his 4 baby girls, Becky, Brenda, Melissa and Nancy. How we all survived our childhood is a miracle in itself as he let us learn lessons the hard way and boy did we learn them, but Father was so proud of all of us. He was the proud "Papaw" to 16 grandkids, Tres, Courtney, Aaron, Rheaven, Hailee, Gage, Devin, Braden, Sharon, Harlie, Falken, Paizlee, Gavin, Knox, Maria and Faith as well as 9 Great Grandchildren and a slew of nieces and nephews.

Father once said, "I don't want to go to anyone else's funeral so I sure don't want to go to my own". So, in honor of his wishes his gaggle of kids and grandkids will be having a private celebration of life. You can, however, raise a Schlitz in his honor, his favorite beverage after a long day at work.
