Gregory Wayne Ortega, Sr., age 46 of Hempstead, passed away on September 10, 2014. He is survived by his wife Judi Ortega; parents, Frances and Edward Ortega, Sr.; sons, Gregory & Denise Ortega, Jr., Matthew & Gabriela Ortega; daughters, Sylvia & Jason Rojas, Amanda & Amin Trujillo, Sr.; brother, Edward & Sonya Ortega, Jr.; sister, Tammy & Ciro Salizar; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Aubrey, Zayden and Isabella Ortega, Laila, Maria, Christian, Amin Jr. and Celeste Trujillo; sister-in-law, Shirley & Derek Russ, Cathleen Steward; brothers-in-law, Thomas & Stacy Manes, Sr., James Manes and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 12 noon to 3pm at Canon Funeral Home. followed by a Funeral Services at 3pm with Pastor Mike Garrett officiating.
