Glenda Irene
Moseley
Sep 17, 1945 — Feb 28, 2025
Glenda Irene Crowhurst Moseley, age 79 of Hempstead, went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2025.
Glenda was born in Houston, TX on September 17, 1945, to Martin Glenn and Minnie Irene Crowhurst, and went on to become a lifelong educator, loving grandmother, and honorary "Nana" to so many of those she knew.
Glenda graduated from Waller High School in 1964 before attending Sam Houston State University, where she earned her degree in Home Economics with a minor in Reading in 1968. Her passion for teaching spanned 37 years, touching countless lives, before she packed up her chalk and dry-erase markers in 2005.
Glenda grew up attending Pine Island Baptist Church, where she later played an active role of teaching Sunday School and facilitating Vacation Bible School. For all those who knew her, it was evident that she was a living example of Matthew 5:16, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
Glenda's greatest love was her grandkids. You could always find her in the stands at any sporting event: football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, as well as cheer competitions - she was by far their greatest cheerleader.
Glenda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Darryl Moseley; brother Martin "Skip" Crowhurst and wife Joan; sister-in-law Debbie Kothmann; daughters Daralyn Brzymialkiewicz and husband Robert, Kendra Tyler and husband Ronald; grandchildren Kaitlyn Brzymialkiewicz, Caleb Tyler, Caden Tyler, Colton Tyler, and Kenzlie Brzymialkiewicz; and nieces Laura Watson and Tricia Sullivan and their families; childhood best friend Ruthann Wright; and extended family members Anna Davenport and Julie Abke and their families.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, at 4:00pm at Canon Funeral Home in Waller, Texas. Honorary Pallbearers are Caleb, Caden, and Colton Tyler; Zack and Matthew Watson; Jacob Sullivan; Kyle Contreras; Ray Bozarth; and Keith Sheffield.
A final word of encouragement from Glenda…
"You are important. That's right, I said YOU are important and don't let anyone - and I mean anyone - tell you otherwise. Believe in yourself. We all go down some bumpy roads during our life but know this, that the sun will start shining again and the road will get smoother. Always have Faith and Never stop Believing!"
