Gerald Mack Davis, age 78, of Waller, Texas was born on August 21, 1938, and went to Heaven to be with Our Lord on Sunday, August 28, 2016.

Gerald was the Beloved Son of Rena Lambeth and Leonard Davis, and the Beloved Brother of Lynna Berry and Sharon Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents Rena and Leonard Davis; his sister, Lynna Berry; and his nephew, Sammie Berry. He is survived by his sister, Sharon Davis; niece, Lynna Berry; brother-in-law, Howard Berry; niece, Sheryl Kelley and husband, Ronnie; and niece, Susan Styers and husband, Odis. He is also survived by great nephews, Ronald Kelley and wife, Crystal; O.K. Styers and wife, Megan; He is survived by great nieces, Shelley Kelley; Samantha Dempsey and husband, Rick; Sandy Smith and husband, Tim; Marti Garrett and husband, Steven; Jessie Benoot and husband, Nick; and Katie Berry. He is also survived by special friends, Beverly and Oscar Sanchez. He leaves behind many extended family and friends.

Gerald helped with the family dairy and farm, worked construction, and worked at the General Motors and Houston Lighting and Power. He graduated from Sam Houston State University and ended his career by teaching drafting and coaching for 27 years. Schools he worked for included: Houston I.S.D., Huffman I.S.D., and Bellville I.S.D. Lives of many friends and former students were positively influenced by "Coach Davis".

Visitation will be at Canon Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 5-7pm. Funeral Services will be Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2pm at Pine Island Baptist Church 36573 Brumlow Road, Waller, Texas 77484 where Gerald was a long time member and accepted Christ as his Saviour in 1950 with Pastors John Arnall and Tom Dobbs officiating. Interment will follow at Atkinson Cemetery in Chappell Hill.
