Frank James "Bubba" Levandowski, 65, of Hempstead, Texas, passed away on February 2, 2026.

Frank was born on September 14, 1960, in Hempstead to Julian and Bonnie Levandowski. He graduated from Waller High School in 1979 and went on to build a long and respected career as a machinist, working in Waller and Brenham until 2023. Frank took pride in honest work, a job done right, and the steady reliability that defined him both in the shop and in life.

He was a true outdoorsman at heart. Frank loved hunting and fishing, and some of his happiest memories were made on the many hunting trips to Franklin, Texas with his brothers-in-law and nephews -traditions filled with stories, laughter, and the kind of fellowship that becomes family history. Closer to home, he found simple joy in fishing at the tank with his great-nieces and great-nephews, always patient, always present, and always glad to share the moment.

Frank also had a deep love for raising livestock and was widely known for his skill and dedication. He excelled in breeding high-quality show lambs and proudly earned multiple Grand and Reserve Champion honors at various county fairs. He was also an expert marksman, and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and passions -especially with children- always eager to teach, encourage, and pass along what he had learned.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Bonnie Levandowski; his grandparents, Wallace and Antonia (Springer) Lewandowski and John Henry and Edith (Humbird) Melton.

He is survived by his sisters: Dorthy Heintschel and husband Dale; Theresa "Terry" Kalinowsky and husband Jack; and Sandra "Sandy" Lewis and husband Kenny. He is also survived by his nephews Ray Kalinowsky and wife Lisa, Charlie Heintschel and significant other Heather, and Scott Heintschel and wife Meagan; his niece Heidi Surovik and husband Ritchie; his great-nieces and great-nephews Keegan Kalinowsky; Lexi, Bristol, and Haisley Heintschel; Cash and Dylan Hillgartner; Jackson Morey; and Wyatt Southard. Frank is also survived by his dear friend Becky Eplen; his aunts Janet Levandowski, Mary Newman, and Kathy Rice; and numerous cousins and friends.

Frank "Bubba" Levandowski will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of the outdoors, and the generous way he shared his time and passions with those around him. His legacy lives on in the traditions he helped build, the skills he passed down, and the memories that will be carried forward by all who loved him.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12pm. Memorial Services to follow at 12:00 pm at Canon Funeral Home with Tom Dobbs officiating.
