Everaldo Davila, age 89 of Houston, passed away on April 29, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Soledad and Guadalupe Davila; son Ronald Ray Davila; sisters Delia Martinez, Estella Gutierrez, Lilly Garibay. He is survived by his wife Olga Davila; sons Danny Davila and wife Pam, Joe Gonzales and wife Amy; daughters Patricia Ordorica and husband Raul, Veronica Gonzales; grandchildren Stephanie Hatley, Katherine Gonzales, Luisa Isbell, Isabella Ordorica, Neil Ordorica, William Gonzales, Elizabeth Gonzales; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Everaldo "Ed" Davila's life can be distilled into four categories: His Catholic Faith, his passion for his work, his love for his family and his lifelong love for the Houston Astros.
Ed was a parishioner of St. Katherine Drexel in Hempstead and participated in many fundraising events throughout the years.

He learned the trades of engine mechanic and welding in Kenedy Texas and began his work career in the late 50's with Todd Shipyards in Houston. A self-taught man, he founded two automotive businesses, Davila's Auto Service and Import Truck Repair in the 70's and ran them both successfully for many years.

In the 80's Ed worked as a diesel mechanic and bought and sold cattle for Lawrence Marshall. He eventually landed at Daily Oil Tools where he met C.H. Harvey, a man who would become Ed's closest friend and brother, as well as his boss at B&R Industries. He started at B&R in the early 2005 and worked there until the end of his life as Shop Maintenance Manager. He earned the respect of his co-workers by setting an example through his quiet, hard work and attention to detail.
In 2017 he witnessed his life-long dream of seeing his beloved Astros win the World Series, attending two games in person.
Ed's life was full and by his side throughout his journey was his beloved wife Olga and daughter Veronica.

He will be missed, but his compassion, kindness and interest in others will live on forever in the memories of those who knew him.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021 starting at 10:30am with a Rosary at 11am at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. Funeral Services will follow at 11:30am with Fr. Xavier Bilavendiran officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Hempstead.
