Evelyn Garrett, age 88 of Hockley, passed away on February 13, 2018. She is preceded in death by husband, Sam H. Garrett; special friend, Vernon Sanford; parents, Fritz and Lillie Schmidt; 5 brothers; 1 sister; and is survived by sons, Harold Garrett and wife Mary, Kenneth Garrett and wife Debbie, Bobby Garrett and wife Kay, Roy Garrett and special friend, Rhondee Damon; daughter Peggy King and husband Charlie; grandchildren, Holly Cox, Sharon Garrett, David Franz, Gordon Franz, Tim Garrett, Scott Franz, Steven Garrett, Kaylee Williams, Brandi Dozier, Kennan Williamson, Meghan Frey, Stacy Stockton, Hailee Garrett; 26 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be Monday, February 19, 2018 from 5-8 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11 am at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Maurice McLeroy officiating. Interment will follow at Fieldstore Cemetery.
