Obituary

Sue was born in Liberty, Texas as the 3 rd of 3 children to Webster Ballinger Clapp and Eva Bernice Clapp (Cassity). They lived in various places in Texas and Oklahoma for the next 16 years. Her mother passed away when Sue was only 12 years old and her father died 4 years later. At the age of 16 she moved in with her loving sister, Margaret Parker and brother-in-law, Roy Parker in El Paso, Texas.

Sue met Harold Dean Johnson while living in El Paso. When she was 16 years old, they married and over the next 14 years had 4 boys – Vince, Dwayne, Curtis and Jay. Her boys were the joy of her life.

On September 21, 1990 her husband passed away from cancer. Sue lived 16 years as a child, 30 years as a happily married woman and another 30 years as a widow. She loved her family, pets, gardening, family lineage, reading and crafting.

Sue was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend and left this world peacefully on July 30 th to be with our savior Jesus Christ.

Sue was preceded in death by her father, Webster Clapp, her mother, Eva Clapp. As well as her husband, Harold Johnson and brother, Webster Clapp. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Parker, her sons: Vince, Dwayne, Curtis and Jay, their wives, her sisters-in-law, Janie Carter and Alice Clapp, and her 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Her life will be celebrated with family on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 10:30 am graveside at Canon Mathis Cemetery in Waller, Texas.
