Emily Louise Whatley was born on Monday September7th, 1931 in Houston, Texas to the late William Freeman Anderson and Bertie Lee Lawson Anderson she departed this earth to the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday December 6th 2017.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larence Mack Whatley, Sr., her brother William Allen Anderson and grandson Garrett Whatley; her inspirational life will be forever cherished by her brother Paul Dean Anderson and wife Betty. Sons Larence Mack Whatley Jr. and wife Teresa, Boyd Whatley, Clark Whatley and Seaborn Whatley and wife Cindy; grandchildren Brad Leithner, Larence Whatley III, Katherine Whatley, Christopher Whatley, Ashleigh Rutledge, Amy Sosa and Stephen Robertson; Great grandchildren Brad Allan Leithner, Corrinne Leithner, Grayson Whatley, Kayden Whatley, Brody Whatley, Tave Sosa and Nolan Rutledge along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Among these friends mother was blessed with long time friends Norma Midkiff and Gladys Ward whose friendship greatly enhanced her life.
In honoring mother's lifelong request, her remains were donated to United Tissue Network (www.unitedtissue.com) to be used for medical research and training, in lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her name to this organization.
A memorial service honoring and celebrating the life of Emily Louise Whatley will be at Canon Funeral Home (936-372-3683) 1420 Farr Street, Waller TX on Wednesday December 20th from 6-8 PM
