Obituary

Jerry Elisa Canon Holdridge, beloved wife, mother, memaw, aunt, and friend, passed away on June 23, 2023, in Grapevine, TX. Elisa was born on Aug. 29, 1951, in Tomball, Texas, to Milton Eugene Sr. and Dora Blanche (Goddard) Canon, both of whom gladly welcomed her into Heaven along with her brother, Milton E. Canon Jr.

Elisa had a personality that was free-spirited, whimsical, thoughtful, and above all, she was a giver. She worked at a company that manufactured steel, concrete, and glass and she knew how to put her best foot forward for her team of over 100 steelworkers.  She not only garnered their loyalty but, more importantly, their respect as she handled the daily objectives of the business for her team and her clients. When Elisa wasn't working, she enjoyed spending time with her family and made them her priority. She loved all genres of music and appreciated every musician's individual talent. She also enjoyed getting the family together to head to their lake house in Bowie, TX traveling (especially on cruises), and spoiling her precious grandchildren, and later, great-grandchildren. Elisa also had a servant's heart and faithfully served at her church, Valley Ranch Baptist Church, where she was a member for many years. She had a knack for finding fun in any situation and was a renowned "foodie" who not only could cook but also enjoyed sitting down and indulging in a tableful of great food as long as it was shared with her loved ones.

She leaves behind her legacy of unconditional love to be cherished by her husband, Scott Holdridge, of Grapevine, TX; children: Jolynn (Jodie) Langhorne and husband, Jason, of Denton, TX, Cassandra (Cassie) Kesterholt and husband, Adam, of Arlington, TX, Brandie Canon of Sunset, TX and Christopher Michael Canon of Houston, TX; grandchildren: Ashton, Chance, Elisabeth (Lizzie), Ella, and Charlotte (Charlie); great-grandchildren: Tinslee, Roman, Bubba, and Aaliyah; along with her precious pup, Cosmo, and other extended family, and friends.
