Elgin K. Blevins, age 88 of Hempstead, Texas passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brooke Blevins; grandson, Elijah Cain Blevins; and survived by his wife of 70 years, Annie Ruth Blevins, sons, Jimmy Blevins and wife Patty, Billy Blevins and wife Gayle and Ricky Blevins and wife Barbara; daughters, Carol McMichael and husband John Ronny and Betty Hill and husband Mickey; sister Oleta Cooper and husband Jim; grandchildren, Kelly McMichael and husband Jahue Anderson, Justin McMichael and wife Heather, Kyle McMichael, Megan Fast and husband Daniel, Preston Blevins and wife Katie, Shane Blevins, Brittany Griffin and husband Shaun, Caley Esquivel and husband Eric and Jordan Hill and wife Emma; great grandchildren, Charlie and Emilie Blevins, Maddox, Jake and Silas Fast, Ryan and Emma Stott, Hannah and Jenna McMichael, Bray, Easton and Zy Esquivel, Trinity Griffin, Hunter, Jase and Braxtyn Hill and Teagan Lane Hill is on the way.

Brother Blevins was born September 6, 1928, to Arelious Delphus and Nita Pearl Wallace Blevins. He spent his entire adult life ministering to others as a Southern Baptist Preacher. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be at Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 1:00-2:00pm followed by the Funeral Services at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church, Midlothian, Texas with Pastor Ben Condray officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Peak Cemetery.
