Edward Locklear, age 81 of Hockley passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. He is preceded in death by parents, Joe Franklin Locklear, mother Ellen Houseton, daughter, Cynthia Ann Cox; and survived by wife, Betty Schiel Locklear; son-in-law, Paul Cox and wife Holly; brothers, Jim Locklear and wife Vivan, Danny Locklear and wife Linda; sister, Rita Tetens and husband Tommy; brother-in-law Jerry Schiel and wife Betty and family; grandchildren, Lacey Choate, Kaitlyn Cox, Adam Cox; great grandchild, Brendle Choate; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be at Canon Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 10 am at Canon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jeffrey Willey officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery.
