Edward Dear, age 75 of Waller, passed away on October 16, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents Mason and Viva Dear and his wife Ann Dear.

Edward was proud to be a Vietnam Veteran and spoke about it to everyone. He lived in Rockport, TX before returning to Houston.

He was quite the entrepreneur. He owned a marina in Livingston as well as his own automotive shops and real estate. He moved to Waller to live at the airport and fly whenever he wanted.

He had a love of drag racing, speed boats and airplanes. He enjoyed talking about cars, flying and the good old days of the 50's, 60's and 70's to all.

Edward loved and helped his relatives and friends in many ways.

He is survived by his son Dwight Whitfield and wife Kerri; grandchildren Mason, Ryan, Adam and Jackson Whitfield; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 11am at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Blake Nichols officiating. Interment will be at Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
